We took the local bus down to the Ocean Terminal at Leith this morning. A much milder temperature today that warmed up as the day progressed. We boarded the Royal Britannia armed with our free audio guide (none included at the castle!) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We stopped at the tea room for coffee and a scone - the Brits make the best scones - before moving to the lower decks. The Royal quarters were homely rather than regal making the boat seem more cosy rather than opulent, except for the Rolls Royce in the ‘garage’ - where they had to take off both bumper bars just to slide it into the space after being hoisted from the wharf.

Laundry with every feasible ironing device
After we alighted from the bus in the city centre, we came across an eerie graveyard with all the tombstones and crypts covered in green moss. The castle loomed above on the mountain top.
